I create Art for one simple reason: to leave ideas behind.

 

Whether it is within a classroom,

inspiring and encouraging students to create new works,

or in my own studio, creating a series of pieces to display on a topic;

the goal is the same.

 

I wish to leave ideas behind.

 

To destroy is easy - creation is the first step to divinity.

I believe the ideas and inspirations I leave behind

in the physical forms of my work,

as well as the lessons and instruction that I leave behind for my students - these will survive me well beyond my years.

 

It is my hope that those that I communicate with using my art and my lessons will touch a part of me beyond my meager time here.
