"Eye of the Tiger Blood", 2013, 16" x 20", Acrylic, Ink, and Spraypaint on Canvas The title is lifted from a combination of Charlie Sheen's rantings of a few years ago and the song my son still loves to sing to this day. The deformity and interpretation of these phrases, however, is my own...

Is this the bad ass "Dirty Harry" we have grown to fear/admire, or an elderly man who is starting to create large lapses in judgement...? http://www.saatchiart.com/art/Painting-Garish-Clint/481852/2070916/view

"Garish: Views"; 2014, 18" x 24"; Spray Paint, Ink, and Acrylic on Canvas We all have many different views, many different opinions. How we see something is jaded by what we have seen, our upbringing, and our experiences. These views are always changing, always altered from the original. I know what I experience today will change how I view tomorrow. We will not look at things the same way ever again - for a person who does not change their views has experienced nothing.
Go to link"Garish: Panic!", 2014; Ink, Spray Paint, and Acrylic on Wood, 20" x 24" There is fear, and there is what is worth fearing. I find that there is a lot in life that we are afraid of, that once we find out about it, we realize we have nothing to fear. I find that as I grow older and I understand more, I fear less. There are no monsters, just animals science has not classified yet. There are no enemies, just people we do not understand. There is no hate, there is only fear and misunderstanding
Go to link"Garish: Ziggy", 2014, Acrylic, Spray Paint and Ink on Canvas, 18" x 24" David Bowie's interpretation of human sexuality and androgyny as Ziggy Stardust has inspired countless glam rockers and performers to this day. This persona and his over the top use of makeup, hair and costuming to cement the character makes him a logical choice to include within the "Garish" Series.

Go to link"Garish: Troll", 2014, 16" x 20", Spray Paint, Acrylic, and Marker on Canvas After finding an image online of a trucker who had one side of his face aged through sun exposure, I wondered about the nature of ugliness and beauty. Too many times we are quick to judge those who look unlike us in a negative way. I wanted to accentuate the colors of this image in such a way that the textures stand out.

The "Bicycle Girl" of season 1 stood out as one of the most memorable images of the show and has become a bit of a pop culture staple. I decided to take this image and give it the "Garish" treatment, citing the beauty and giving a Pop Art feel to the amazing makeup work of Greg Nicotero and his staff.
